Ep 107: The Rooster Resource Centre with Mike Webster

Toronto bartender Mike Webster took a trip to Oaxaca and brought back a wealth of mezcal knowledge to share with us, Chris is getting better at parties, and Ben got a job.

The Recipes:

2 oz Cachaça
.5 lime, quartered
2 barspoons demerara sugar (or 2 cubes)

Middle the sugar and limes until the sugar is well dissolved. Add the Cachaça and shake with ice. Pour into a chilled rocks glass.

Inside Jobinside-job
2 oz Bourbon
.25 oz Maraschino liqueur
.5 oz simple syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash absinthe
Maraschino cherry and an orange peel for garnish

Stir all ingredients with ice until well chilled, strain into a chilled old fashioned glass, and garnish.

Ron’s Cocktailrons-cocktail
1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Dry vermouth
1 oz Aperol
1 barspoon Campari

Stir, serve over ice or up. Grapefruit twist for garnish.

2 oz gin
.5 oz dry vermouth
.5 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz fresh orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake, strain into a chilled glass and garnish with an orange twist.
