The Apocalypse
1 oz Dark Rum
.5 oz Light rum
.5 oz overproof rum
.5 oz cherry Heering
.75 oz Cointreau
.5 oz pineapple juice
1 oz lime juice
1 oz passionfruit nectar
.75 oz light agave nectar
2 dashes Orange bitters
Nutmeg for dusting
Lime wheel, lemon wheel and cherry for garnish
Combine rums, liqueurs, juices, nectars and bitters in a shaker. Shake with cracked ice until well chilled and pour into a collins glass, including the ice. Grate nutmeg over the top and garnish.
Suppressor 1776 (Ticonderoga Club, Atlanta)
1.5 oz sweet vermouth
.75 oz amontillado
.75 oz coffee liqueur
2 dashes orange bitters, preferably Regan’s Orange Bitters No.6
Lemon twist, cardamom leaf
Tonic water
Build ingredients over ice in a Collins glass. Top with tonic water and stir quickly to incorporate. Garnish with a lemon twist and a fresh cardamom leaf.
Saint Valentine
1.5 oz good, flavorful white rum
.5 oz Fonseca Bin 27 Ruby Port
.5 oz orange curacao or Grand Marnier
.5 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Running Mate
2 oz Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
.75 oz Cranberry Juice
.75 oz Lime Juice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
1 pinch Edible Gold Dust
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with two raspberries and one blueberry on a tooth pick.
