The Life Event:
Lizzie attended a big naturalization ceremony for some brand new US citizens!
2 oz Dry Gin
1 oz Blue Curaçao
.75 oz Fresh Lemon juice
.25 oz Orgeat
1 barspoon Cherry Heering.
Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled and strain into an ice-filled collins glass. Float Heering. Garnish with a cherry.
1 oz Angostura bitters
1 oz orgeat
.75 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz rye whiskey (100 proof preferred)
Combine ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well to chill; strain into a chilled glass.
1.5 oz Brandy
1.5 oz Ruby port
.5 oz Orange curaçao
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Apple Pie Jello Shots
1 cup Water
2 cups Apple Cider (non alcoholic)
2 envelopes Unflavored Gelatin (.5oz Knox in a can)
1 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
.5 cup Crown Royal Apple
In a medium pot, bring one cup of water and two cups of apple cider to a boil on the stove. Add unflavored gelatin to boiling water; dissolve completely. Remove from heat and allow to mixture cool to close to room temperature; approximately 15 minutes. Add Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and Crown Royal Maple to the jello mixture; combine. Pour into 2 ounce soufflé cups. Allow some headroom and do not fill to the top. Remove any bubbles that may form. You may cap your soufflé cups, or wait until the gelatin has set before capping. Place in refrigerator to set, approximately 2 hours. Serve after set. Makes 20 servings.
